I picked up my Sig P225 at my FFL dealer recently and when I go home I found an orange plastic L shaped (35mmX35mm) shipping or packing piece in the case with the pistol. I've tried to figure out it's function but I've given up. What is it?

Its a chamber flag, LOLOLOL. You put the pointy end in the barrel and the round piece sticks out the ejection port to show range safety officers that the gun is clear.
