cleaning and maintenance due to gas discharge into the magazine tube. Less maintenance equals maximum durability. Barrel The barrel is made of St. Etienne steel. This softer steel allows for a better shot pattern with a more powerful and precise distribution of pellets. The most technologically advanced machines are used in the boring of the barrel and for the exterior profiling. The utmost accuracy is achieved in this precision manufacturing, making a major contribution to the safety and superb shooting characteristics of the SI. Special steel proof test The gun is tested by the Italian National Proof House with the special “Steel Shot Test.” The barrels are stamped by “Lily of France” as confirmation of this special test. This makes the gun suitable for shooting high performance steel shot ammunition 12(3”) with a pellet diameter up to 4 mm. Maxi SI 70 Choke Tubes: A set of 5 different choke tubes, covering a range of restrictions, are supplied with the gun.
