The Dillon Aero M134D is one of the most reliable weapons in the world, given its capacity, simplicity in loading, and ease of maintenance. Designed for speed and accuracy, the M134D is a true force multiplier. The rapidity of shooting is of the utmost importance: only guns as rapid as the M134D can achieve the extreme shot density needed to suppress multiple targets in compressed periods of time. Additionally, the M134D is virtually free of recoil. When properly mounted, it moves slightly aft with the first shot, without any tendency to pitch or yaw. This stability is vital, in that it significantly assists in the aiming on and retention of a target. High rates of fire, extremely dense shot grouping, and high weapon stability demonstrate the perfect pairing of swiftness and precision.

DillonAero M134D MINIGUN Features

The M124 is an electrically-powered belt fed mini gun that sends 150 grain 7.62 slugs downrange at such an incredibly high rate of fire between 2000 and 6000 rounds per minute.  It’s usually set to fire 3,000 rounds per minute, or 50 rounds per second.  It is built with a short optics rail that allows it to accept oversized holographic sights, however it’s usually aimed by walking the tracers into the target.

DillonAero M134D MINIGUN Capacity

The M134 Vulcan is chambered for 7.62x51mmNATO and feeds from belts connected by M13 links.  These belts are pulled from a giant container of freedom and are fed through a feed chute into the electrically-driven de-linker.  Due to the amount of power this motor has and the fixed length of the feed chute, the only limit on capacity is the size of the ammo container.
The M134 measures 31.56 inches long and has an unloaded weight of 85 pounds.  Now factor in the weight of all the ammo and you quickly get the weight into the triple-digits.  Because of this, the gun is always found in a mounted position.  It is typically found on the tops of Humvees and armored vehicles, and it is also found mounted in helicopters in side-door and ramp positions.

DillonAero M134D MINIGUN Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The M134 is built with a two-handed spade grip because it absolutely takes two hands to control this absolute bullet hose.  It has a master killswitch between the two grips and it has two “fire” buttons that can be pressed with either thumb.  It even has a button on the left side that the user can press with their left index finger that transmits their radio signal if it’s connected, thus allowing the operator to keep their hands on the gun at all times.

DillonAero M134D MINIGUN Fit & Finish

The M134 is built with the most precise and advanced manufacturing equipment to ensure its reliability and is designed to prevent sand, dust and dirt from getting in the inner workings.  The loading procedure needs to be done carefully as any bent or unnecessary links can cause the gun to jam, a malfunction that requires an intensive disassembly to clear.
