BEST .357 REVOLVERS [2022]

We are in the year 2020, with futuristic and magnificent weaponry that are unrivaled in terms of reliability, accuracy, ballistics, and more. Despite this, we continue to cling to our revolvers. The United States of America is a huge fan of revolvers.

Perhaps it's our cowboy proclivities, along with our frontier heritage, spaghetti westerns, P.I. novels, and Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon, that makes us appreciate the old six-gun. Revolvers come in a variety of calibers, from the low-powered 22 short to the powerful 500 S&W magnum, and everything in between.

Today, we'll discuss the legendary 357 magnum revolver and the top 357 magnum revolvers.

WHY SHOULD YOU USE A .357 REVOLVER?

The 357 magnum is, without a doubt, the best fighting revolver cartridge. It strikes a balance between controllability and force. It's more powerful than a 38 Special or 9mm, but simpler to control than other magnum cartridges because to this compromise. The 357 Magnum is a high-powered cartridge that outperforms most automatic cartridges.

TYPES OF 357 MAGNUM REVOLVERS

The varying sizes frequently allude to their distinct functions. When it comes to 357 magnum revolvers, size does important.

Concealed Carry: There are several types of concealed carry revolvers. Barrels range in length from 1.87 inches to 3 inches. The capacity ranges from 5 to 6 rounds, with weights ranging from 12 to 30 ounces. For single-action shots, these firearms are frequently available in double action only and double action with an exposed hammer.

Full Size: The 357 Magnum is designed for full size, or duty size, 357 Magnums. The barrel length varies between 4 and 6 inches, with a capacity of 6 to 8 rounds. These hulking brutes may even be equipped with optics and lighting rails. This size revolver is popular for self-defense, however it is slightly larger than most. For single-action shots, most full-size revolvers come in double-action designs with an exposed hammer.

Beyond Full Size: Beyond full-size revolvers, barrels as long as 8 inches are possible, with capacity ranging from 6 to 8 rounds. Massive, hefty, and incredibly accurate, these hand cannons are a sight to behold. Optics mounts, in particular, are common on these firearms, and they're popular for handgun hunting. They are available in both double-action and single-action models.

Cowboy Guns: The 357 Magnum was developed in 1935, long after the west had been conquered. The popularity of the round and its smaller 38 Special brethren, on the other hand, has sparked the production of replica cowboy weapons. Plunderers, competitive shooters, and even hunters use cowboy weapons. Cowboy firearms have a distinct appearance and feel that is devoid of modern technology. With the exception of a few uncommon double-action designs with an exposed hammer for single-action rounds, most cowboy weapons are single-action only.
