The Adams Arms Gas Piston Conversion Kit has a short stroke free floating piston system which is self cleaning and resistant to corrosion. Carbon and gasses are expelled forward, away from the operator and harmonics are not transferred into the barrel. Additionally, the Gas Piston doesn't vent directly to atmospheric pressure, which eliminates flash signatures and super sonic crack which is optimal for night vision and suppresses fire.
