Marlin X7 Capacity

The Marlin X7 is chambered in all of the popular Pre-2000 hunting cartridges that are often found in short- and long-action deer rifles from .22-250 up to .300 WinMag.  If it’s chambered in a magnum caliber, the internal magazine holds 4 rounds while the other calibers offer a 5 round magazine.  Rounds are loaded by retracting the bolt and manually feeding cartridges directly into the top of the magazine.

Marlin X7 Feature

The Marlin X7 is a lightweight bolt action deer hunting rifle that offers incredible accuracy for the cost.  It is available with a short or a long action receiver that is drilled and tapped to accept rails to mount a rifle scope.  Barrels can measure anywhere between 20 and 26 inches long and can have a standard barrel profile or a heavy profile that takes longer to heat up, keeping your shots more accurate.

Marlin X7 Ergonomics

Generally speaking, the Marlin X7 has a very typical deer rifle feel.  Where it stands above the rest is its grip which curves to a more vertical angle that allows for a proper trigger pull without causing unnecessary discomfort on the user’s wrist.  The grip and forend are checkered which gives the user extra traction when wearing gloves or when their hands are sweaty.

Marlin X7 Mobility

Measuring 42.5 to 46 inches long depending on the caliber and with an unloaded weight of 6.5 pounds, the Marlin X7 is among the lightest deer rifles on the market.  With its smooth stock and lack of protruding geometry, this rifle won’t catch on any brush or foliage, and its composite stock prevents the scratching and handling damage that you’d normally encounter when you’re out deer hunting.

Marlin X7 Fit-N-Finish

The Marlin X7 is available with a blued finish and can also be found in stainless steel.  The stocks are made of a high-strength composite that typically come in a matte black style, though you can sometimes find models that have different colors or use dyes to make interesting color patterns.  From a bench, these rifles typically hold 1MOA with commercial ammo or better.
