Walther P99 As Capacity
The Walther P99 AS ships with 10 or 15 round double-stack, single-feed magazines. Walther, along with aftermarket magazine manufacturers, also offer 20 round box magazines and drum magazines with a 50 round capacity.
Walther P99 As Feature
The Walther P99 AS is a polymer-framed semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9x19mm and has a 15 round magazine. Its sights are fully adjustable and the frame features an accessory rail for lights and lasers. A de-cocking button is found along the top of the slide, and the extended magazine release is an ambidextrous tilt-down design.
Walther P99 As Ergonomics
The Walther P99 AS employs many ergonomic features into its design. With finger grooves along the front of the grip, replaceable backstrap panels, and various texturing around the entire grip, the full-sized P99 AS fully fills the hand comfortably. The large slide serrations allow the user a positive grip of the slide over a larger surface area than other pistols, and the de-cocking button on top of the slide is easy to press even while holstered. The 4.5 pound trigger is where the P99 AS really shines. Its smooth trigger pull and short reset give the user a very nice shooting gun.
Walther P99 As Concealability
The Walther P99 AS is a full-sized pistol. Measuring 7.1 inches long, 5.3 inches tall, and 1.3 inches wide, the P99 AS is difficult to conceal, especially with its slide protruding so far behind the grip and the grip’s bulging rear. This pistol was designed for open carry, though it can be concealed with a proper holster and longer or heavier attire.
Walther P99 As Fit-N-Finish
The Walther P99 AS is as well made as all other Walther pistols made today. The coatings on the slide are extremely durable against damage and wear, keeping your slide from environmental damage much longer than other brand pistols.
