Usas-12 Capacity
The USAS-12 has a 3” 12 gauge chamber, a cylindrical bore and feeds from detachable magazines. The standard magazine is a 10-round single-stack polymer detachable box magazine. The USAS-12 can also accept a 20 round drum magazine. Also made of polymer, this drum magazine has a clear back piece that allows the user to quickly see how many rounds are left in the drum.
Usas-12 Feature
The USAS-12 is manufactured by Daewoo in South Korea and is a gas operated, select fire shotgun that uses a single-lug rotating bolt. Its design is based off of early AA-12 concepts and includes an 18.1 inch barrel that is paired with a hooded front sight and a carry-handle style rear sight. This shotgun can be set up to eject out of the left or right side.
Usas-12 Ergonomics
The USAS-12 has fire controls that are directly based on the AR15 aside from the non-reciprocating and reversible charging handle located along both sides of the handguard. The gun itself is rather bulky due to the caliber and the gas system, and the handguard can be difficult to comfortably hold with the drum magazine inserted which is a common issue with drum mags.
Usas-12 Mobility
Measuring 37.8 inches long with an unloaded weight of 12 pounds, the USAS-12 is one of the heaviest shotguns designed for combat. Though its length is on-par with South Korea’s standard infantry rifles, its weight can easily be a hindrance when trying to clear rooms with a 20 round drum magazine in a gun that exceeds 14 pounds.
Usas-12 Fit-N-Finish
The USAS-12 uses a forged aluminum upper and lower receiver that features an array of different anodizing finishes that leave some receivers matte black while others look like they were left in the white. The handguard and stock are made of composite polymer materials and the steel components are blued.
