See DealThe Trophy revolver was made by J.P. Sauer & Sohn in 1970's in Germany as a copy of Smith & Wesson revolvers. They were imported and marketed in the USA by Hawes Firearms from Los Angeles, California so they are often offered on antique market as Hawes Firearms revolvers. Original price in 1971 was $130. Hawes also imported Medallion revolver that is same revolver as Trophy but it was offered with barrel in 3, 4, and 6 inch and ramp front sight.

One imported by Hawes Firearms has these markings: Left side of the barrel is marked “J.P. Sauer & Sohn / Made in Western Germany”. The right side of the barrel is marked “Sauer Trophy / Cal. .38 Special” or 22LR. The right side of the frame is marked with the “S&S” logo and “Hawkes Firearms Co. / Los Angeles, Calif.” The grips are brown oversized checkered hardwood with gold “S&S” medallions.Hawes Firearms Trophy For Sale
