Break Open Action (Single Shot)
Thompson Pro Hunter Capacity
The Encore Pro Hunter is a single shot, break barrel action that allows you to interchange barrels in several cartridges and gauges. The barrel action is operated by pressing the lock release located on the bottom front of the trigger guard.
Thompson Pro Hunter Feature
The Encore Pro Hunter is available in rifle or pistol configurations with several accessory stock, barrel and finish options. The 28” barrel in the rifle configuration allows greater velocities, while the 15” barrels for the pistol version offers maximum velocity and sight radius for a handgun. Rifle barrels come drilled and tapped for optics with no iron sights mounted.
Thompson Pro Hunter Ergonomics
The synthetic stock with pistol grip offers excellent control and comfort while shooting from several positions. The FlexTech stock helps with recoil management. The rifle balances well for offhand shooting but when configured as a pistol, a shooting rest needs to be used to obtain maximum accuracy.
Thompson Pro Hunter Mobility
The Encore Pro Hunter is designed to be used as a spot and stalk in open terrain firearm or from a stationary stand while hunting. Aftermarket and custom barrels can be obtained to make this a brush gun however. With a 15” barrel, the Encore Pro Hunter in pistol configuration is designed for handgun hunters to offer them maximum range and accuracy from a handgun. It is not designed for personal protection or concealed carry.
Thompson Pro Hunter Fit-N-Finish
The Encore Pro Hunter’s stock, frame, and barrel join together with good fitment and lines. Models are available in stainless steel, blued, or camouflaged dipped to meet your preferences and weather resistant needs.
