Taurus Judge Capacity
The Taurus Judge features a 5-round cylinder that accepts .410 caliber shotgun shells and .45 Long Colt cartridges. Cartridges are loaded into the cylinder by pressing the cylinder release lever and folding the cylinder to the left side of the gun.
Taurus Judge Feature
The Taurus Judge is chambered in .45 Long Colt and can also accept .410 caliber shotgun shells. This revolver features a 5 round cylinder and is available with varying barrel lengths. The grip is made with a soft high-friction rubber material to give the user enough control for this high-recoiling hand cannon. Its trigger can be fired from either single action or double action.
Taurus Judge Ergonomics
The Taurus Judge has a far better grip than the old cowboy style revolvers. Between the extra-grippy hogue grip and the added contour on the top of the grip where the webbing of your hand stretches to your thumb, your ability to control the firearm and keep the muzzle down when firing is drastically improved. The controls are all placed to easily manipulate the hammer and cylinder lever without fumbling with the gun.
Taurus Judge Concealability
Although the gun is a bit on the long side and the cylinder (the widest component) has notable width, the grip of the Taurus Judge is rather small, making concealment in a shoulder holster and inside the waistband very feasible, given the proper attire.
Taurus Judge Fit-N-Finish
Taurus’ revolvers are very well made, and due care is taken to properly finish their wheel guns. The Judge’s side plates are machined so precisely that finding the joint has to be done from mere inches away. Their surface finishing is consistent whether a revolver is blued, painted, or brushed.
