Taurus Tcp M738 Feature
The Taurus TCP M738 is a polymer framed semi-automatic pistol with a 6 round magazine capacity. Its sights are milled directly into the slide and are not adjustable. Due to its light slide weight, this gun was designed with a double-action trigger. This is to take advantage of the spring weight’s ability to slow the slide down and delay the opening of the chamber to make the gun more reliable.
Taurus Tcp M738 Ergonomics
The Taurus TCP M738 has a small grip that allows a 2-finger hold on the pistol leaving the user’s pinky finger unused. The iron sights are milled into the slide and are non-adjustable and so low-profile that some shooters find them hard to use. The serrations along the back of the slide give the user a decent grip while cycling the slide. The geometry of the trigger and trigger guard prevent the user from being able to shoot while wearing gloves.

The Taurus TCP M738 measures 5.2 inches long, 3.25 inches tall, and .8 inches wide making it a gun that is easily concealable in just about every environment. The low-profile controls, the slide-milled sights, and lack of sharp edges prevent clothing and other objects from hindering your draw.

The Taurus TCP M738 is available with a matte-black or silver-colored slide and has a polymer frame available in black, green, tan, gray, pink, purple, and other colors and patterns. The sights are milled into the slide and may be difficult to see for some users, this due to the gun being designed for immediate self defense instead of target shooting. The long, heavy pull of the double-action trigger lacks any smoothness as a result of the “as small as possible” design.
