Taurus Raging Hunter Capacity
The Taurus Raging Hunter is available in either .460 Smith & Wesson or .500 Smith & Wesson making this gun an easy one-hit-kill against all woodland critters in North America. It is built with a 5-round cylinder that is loaded by depressing the cylinder release lever on the left side of the frame and includes a hand ejector to kick all 5 spent cases out at once.
Taurus Raging Hunter Feature
The Taurus Raging Hunter is the nastiest of big-bore revolvers offered by your favorite affordable gun maker. This revolver can be fired from either a crisp single-action trigger pull or a smooth double-action pull and is aimed with target-style sights that are adjustable for windage and elevation. They are built with barrels ranging from 5.12 to 10.5 inches long with the most common barrel length being 8.37 inches and all include a scope rail and barrel ports.
Taurus Raging Hunter Ergonomics
It’s a good thing that this revolver has a ported barrel, because both of the calibers it can fire are known to cause wrist trauma. These ports help keep the muzzle down which is also a benefit to any optics you might mount. The grip itself has a rubber texture that provides incredible traction to keep it from flying out of your hands when firing, and the finger grooves are contoured to accommodate the massive hands required to shoot this cannon.
Taurus Raging Hunter Fit-N-Finish
The Taurus Raging Hunter has barrels topped with picatinny rails via an aluminum barrel sleeve that is anodized to protect it from environmental damage. The cylinder and frame are made of carbon steel and are blued to keep them from rusting. This revolver is also available in a stainless steel palate that shows off a matte finish and can also be built in a two-tone setup.
