Sig Sauer P320 X-Five Capacity
The P320 X-Five is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum (9mm Luger, 9x19mm NATO) and requires the use of the 21 round P320 magazines with the extended floor plates. Because of the flared magazine well, the shorter 10, 15 and 17 round magazines simply won’t fit. The only feasible way to end up with 10 round magazines, a requirement in some states, is to insert a magazine spacer to limit the capacity, though this isn’t a factory option.
Sig Sauer P320 X-Five Feature
The SIG Sauer P320 X-Five is the high-speed, low-drag competition version of the increasingly popular P320 lineup. This pistol is built with a longer 5 inch barrel in an optics-ready slide topped with suppressor-ready day/night sights with a sight radius that is almost 8 inches long. The flat trigger is included in this build to promote greater accuracy, though where this gun truly stands out is in its grip.
Sig Sauer P320 X-Five Ergonomics
While the controls are identical to the standard P320 aside from the flat trigger, the ergonomic differences are in the grip. The front, sides and back of the grip have a sandpaper-like texture that grabs onto the hand for excellent control, and this texturing is made with tungsten, a superheavy metal that adds weight to counteract the muzzle flip and recoil impulse you get when you fire a round.
Sig Sauer P320 X-Five Concealability
Two things: Why would you hide this away, and where do you expect to hide it? Measuring almost 9 inches long with a height well over 6 inches tall when you include the magazine, the X-Five is practically impossible to conceal. Size and weight aside, the aggressive grip texturing can be very abrasive against bare skin.
Sig Sauer P320 X-Five Fit-N-Finish
The P320 X-Five is built on a standard trigger housing with a flat competition trigger in a tungsten-weighted polymer frame. This pistol has no external safeties since competition guns shouldn’t be handled by novice users anyways. The slide is cerakoted with a desert tan coating that is very resistant to scratching and wear and is immune to rust and corrosion.
