Sig Sauer Mcx Rattler Pistol Capacity
The SIG MCX Rattler is chambered in .300 Blackout and feeds from any AR15 pattern double-stack magazine. This gives the Rattler a standard magazine capacity of 30 rounds, though the shorter 5 and 10 round magazines can easily be found for use in hunting and pest control as well as 20 round magazines if you’re using it as a backpacking gun.
Sig Sauer Mcx Rattler Pistol Feature
The SIG Sauer MCX Rattler is a semi-automatic pistol with a design inspired by the AR15, however its internal workings have been upgraded significantly. Instead of running on an internal piston action, the MCX operates on a short-stroke gas piston and uses a much shorter bolt carrier. Built with a 5.5 inch barrel, this pistol is a perfect candidate for converting to an SBR and its .300 Blackout chambering makes it excellent as a suppressed weapon.
Sig Sauer Mcx Rattler Pistol Ergonomics
The controls for the MCX Rattler are essentially identical to the AR15 with the addition of an ambidextrous charging handle and magazine release. The factory-installed grip offers a more vertical front wall compared to the typical Mil-Spec grip which offers a much more comfortable hold when firing one-handed, and the somewhat rectangular handguard offers a very sturdy support grip.
Sig Sauer Mcx Rattler Pistol Mobility
Measuring 15.4 inches with an unloaded weight of 5.2 pounds, the MCX Rattler can easily be manipulated in tight spaces while its light weight prevents fatigue when carrying it over long durations. Even with a stabilizing brace or a stock (Form 1 it first) this pistol is shorter than an MP5, the benchmark for close-quarter guns. When running it unsuppressed in .300 Blackout or 5.56mm, this thing tends to spit out fireballs, so its use in confined spaces may not be enjoyable.
Sig Sauer Mcx Rattler Pistol Concealability
According to legend, the SIG Rattler was designed to be small enough to fit in the glovebox of a BMW. While this is unconfirmed, it absolutely is small enough to be tucked discreetly inside of a vehicle. It can also be tossed into a hiking pack and discreetly carried on a camping trip to have just in case rabid or intrusive woodland critters decide that they want your food to be their food.
Sig Sauer Mcx Rattler Pistol Fit-N-Finish
The MCX Rattler is built on a milled receiver set that is precision machined from blocks of aluminum. These components are then anodized in black or desert tan in order to add damage resistance from weather and wear, and other color options start out with a black anodization and get cerakoted. The internal steel components are black nitride coated for the maximum amount of durability.
