Sig Sauer Mcx Capacity
The MCX is chambered in 5.56x45mmNATO (.223 Remington) as well as .300 Blackout and accepts all AR15 pattern magazines. With a standard capacity of 30 rounds, the shorter 10 and 20 round magazines can be used as well as the 60 and 100 round quad-stack magazines. Due to the identical geometry of the magazine well when compared to the AR15, the MCX can also use the 60 round drum magazines.
Sig Sauer Mcx Feature
The SIG Sauer MCX is a semi-automatic, gas-operated rifle that operates on a short-stroke piston and AR15 style multi-lug rotating bolt. Compared to the AR, the MCX has a shortened bolt with its recoil springs sitting above the bolt on either side of what many refer to as the gas key, all of this allowing the rifle to handle like an AR15 while negating the need for a buffer tube.

The MCX has a control setup based off of the AR15 with ambidextrous components including the charging handle, safety and magazine release. The free-floating handguard has a rectangular cross section which doesn’t take long to get used to. The MCX is available with either a collapsing stock or a fixed-length stock, if it has one at all. The MCX was designed to be as modular as the AR15. This rifle uses a handful of AR15 components, however it has a more intensive cleaning and maintenance procedure due to its increased number of parts in its action.
