Savage Arms 110 Scout Capacity
The Savage 110 Scout rifle is chambered in .223 Remington and feeds from AICS pattern single-stack magazines giving it 5 and 10 round mag capacities. Since its barrel is marked .223 REM, it is therefore technically not rated to handle the higher-pressure 5.56 NATO rounds.
Savage Arms 110 Scout Feature
The Savage Arms 110 Scout is a bolt-action intermediate-cartridge scout style bolt action rifle designed for easy target shooting, varmint hunting, pest control and general plinking at short to mid range distances. It is built with a threaded 16.5 inch barrel capped off with a muzzle brake to keep the recoil low and includes Savage’s Accutrigger that was first featured in their Axis II rifles.
Savage Arms 110 Scout Ergonomics
The Savage 110 Scout has a very traditional feel to its stock with the added benefit of rubber grip panels to further secure the handling. The magazine release is located behind the magazine well and has an extended paddle. The more forward scope rail makes the gun slightly more front-heavy when optics are mounted, however this does steady the rifle when firing from a standing position.
Savage Arms 110 Scout Mobility
The Savage 110 Scout measures 38.5 inches long making it about as long as an AR15 with its stock extended and has an unloaded weight of 7.7 pounds. While this weight is rather high for a shorter rifle, the weight combined with the muzzle brake offer a recoil impulse that’s only slightly harder than a .22
Savage Arms 110 Scout Fit-N-Finish
The Savage 110 Scout is built on a Mauser-style action and is set in a composite stock. The scout style optics rail is made of aircraft grade aluminum and is anodized to prevent corrosion. All of the steel parts are phosphate coated to prevent rust as well as reduce wear, and the magazines are detachable because it’s not 1915 anymore.
