Ruger SR1911 Capacity

The Ruger SR1911 is chambered in the back-to-back world war champion’s caliber known across the land as .45ACP, .45 Auto, or simply “forty five” and feeds from all USGI pattern 1911 magazines.  The original magazines hold 7 rounds and magazines with more modern engineering implements allow flush-fit magazines to hold 8 rounds.

Ruger SR1911 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The SR1911 has controls set up for right-handed use and includes an extended safety lever.  The front of the grip is smooth similar to the classic M1911-A1 with an identical grip angle, and the grip panels are checkered.  The slide has grip serrations that offer an improved hold when manually cycling the action and the trigger has a crisp break no matter the weight.

Ruger SR1911 Fit & Finish

The Ruger SR1911 is built on a stainless steel frame and is hand-fit to the slide.  All of the controls and the sights are made of carbon steel protected by a blued surface while the slide, frame and barrel along with many other internal parts show off their stainless steel finish with a matte surface.

Fit and Finish

Ruger SR1911 Concealability

Concealability
Measuring just shy of 8 inches long, 5.5 inches tall and 1.3 inches wide, the SR1011 is the exact same size as the original.  This makes it rather difficult to conceal without more loosely fitting attire, however concealment is definitely an option if you have a good holster and it is properly placed on your person.  Wearing an undershirt may be required as the exposed controls can cause discomfort in certain positions.
