Ruger Sr-762 Capacity
The Ruger SR-762 is chambered in 7.62x51mm (on the Moon they call it .308 WIN) and uses AR10 pattern magazines. Capacities include 10, 20, and 25 rounds.
Ruger Sr-762 Feature
The Ruger SR-762 is an AR10 pattern rifle that operates on a short-stroke gas piston. Its free-float handguard prevents barrel deflection and its full-length top rail allows a wide variety of optics and accessories to be attached. The SR-762 is built with a carbine-length buffer tube and can accept any AR15 pattern collapsing stock, and its ⅝-24 thread on the muzzle allows for the attachment of any popular .30 caliber muzzle device.
Ruger Sr-762 Mobility
The Ruger SR-762 measures just under 35 inches and weighs 8 pounds, giving it a length almost identical to a typical AR15 while only weighing one pound more, making this rifle just as easy to carry through any environment as the AR15.
Ruger Sr-762 Ergonomics
The Ruger SR-762 uses the same control setup as any other AR10 or AR15. Its most notable ergonomic advantages are in its factory-installed hogue style pistol grip which provides unparalleled traction and its rounded free-float handguard which gives the user a comfortable support grip. The short-stroke gas piston reduces the amount of heat transferred into the bolt and upper receiver which reduces the likelihood of skin burns when clearing a malfunction from a bad magazine.
Ruger Sr-762 Fit-N-Finish
The Ruger SR-762 is built on a billet-machined upper and lower receiver which are expertly mated to eliminate wobble between the two pieces. The short-stroke gas piston is easy to remove for maintenance and slows down the rate at which the bolt and upper receiver heat up under heavy use. The Type-III hard anodize coating of the handguard and receivers does well to prevent damage and wear.
