Ruger P90 Capacity
The Ruger P90 uses single-stack detachable magazines. Originally sold with 8-round magazines, this pistol can accept 10-round aftermarket magazines. Be sure to use a magazine spacer when using the 10-round magazines to avoid damage to internal components
Ruger P90 Feature
The Ruger P90 is chambered in .45ACP and has a standard magazine capacity of 10 rounds. It has a stainless steel slide and alloy frame giving it high marks for durability, and its slide-mounted safety / de-cocker is complemented by its double-action / single-action trigger.
Ruger P90 Ergonomics
The Ruger P90 has ergonomics that fall short of today’s standards. The grip is incredibly wide at almost 1.5 inches and the slide release is quite far forward for most users’ thumbs to reach. The slide-mounted safety is easy enough for most to reach, however the trigger pull in double-action is incredibly heavy. The single-action trigger also has a relatively heavy pull, however it does have a decent break.
Ruger P90 Concealability
Measuring over 8 inches long and 5.5 inches tall, the Ruger P90 is a difficult gun to conceal. Its grip height and width would easily cause the gun to print through clothing and its somewhat sharp heel can dig into a user’s body and cause discomfort. This gun is most easily carried in an open-carry setting.
Ruger P90 Fit-N-Finish
Ruger has a history of heat treating their metal components to incredible strength, and this can be seen in the Ruger P90. The slide, frame and barrel are all heat treated and hardened for extra durability, allowing many of these pistols to look nearly new even 30+ years later.
