Ruger LC9S Features

The Ruger LC9-S differs from the LC9 with its striker-fire trigger setup.  It uses the LC9 magazine and retains all of the ergonomics of the LC9 with its small grip and contoured frame and slide.  Its sights are non-adjustable as they are milled directly into the slide.

Ruger LC9S Capacity

The Ruger LC9S ships with either 6 or 7 round magazines, while aftermarket magazine manufacturers offer magazines capable of 9 and 10 round capacities.

Ruger LC9S Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Ruger LC9S is a very small gun with a short and narrow grip.  Since the magazines have an extended floor plate, getting a 2-finger grip on the gun is quite easy, however the width of the grip may be uncomfortable for some users.  Its recoil spring is relatively heavy to counteract the light slide weight, though the trigger has a much lighter pull than the LC9 thanks to its striker-fire setup.  The rounded edges of the frame and slide prevent discomfort while carrying and also prevent clothing and other objects from obstructing your draw.

Ruger LC9S Fit & Finish

The Ruger LC9-S is available with either a black or stainless steel colored slide, and its polymer frame is available in many different colors and patterns.  Its controls are noticeably small and its recoil spring is very heavy, but these are practically requirements for a pistol of this size

Ruger LC9S Concealability

Concealability
The Ruger LC9-S is both thin and small, making it extremely easy to conceal.  Its lack of any protruding geometry keeps this pistol from printing through most clothing while its rounded edges refuse to dig into the user’s body while carrying concealed.
