Ruger 22 Charger Features

The Ruger 22 Charger is, essentially, a pistol version of the legendary Ruger 10/22 rifle.  It operates on a direct-blowback action that has 100% parts commonality with the 10/22 and uses a 10 inch threaded barrel.  The receiver is set up with a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for mounting any modern optics.

Ruger 22 Charger Capacity

The Ruger 22 Charger is chambered in .22LR and uses Ruger 10/22 magazines.  This allows for a capacity of 10 rounds with their standard rotary magazine as well as a capacity of 25 rounds with the curved magazines.

Measuring 19.1 inches long with an unloaded weight of 3.2 pounds, the Ruger 22 Charger offers superior handling in close-quarter environments than a full-length rifle while providing better recoil control than a traditional pistol.  This makes the Charger an excellent choice for deleting soda cans in the backyard as well as make it an excellent varmint control tool.

Ruger 22 Charger Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The 22 Charger has identical controls to the Ruger 10/22 and sits in a curtailed composite stock adapted to accept AR15 pattern magazines.  The first editions of the Charger used standard A2 style fiberglass AR15 grips while later versions were shipped with aftermarket pistol grips that offer superior ergonomics thanks to their more complex contours and larger overall size.

Ruger 22 Charger Fit & Finish

The Ruger 22 Charger is built with the same quality with the same reliability and accuracy as the Ruger 10/22, and features the same level of durability and modularity.  Its barrel features a ½-28UNEF-2B thread at the muzzle to accommodate just about every .22 caliber muzzle device on the market, and the composite stock is a properly-molded 2-piece design that appropriately has the weld joint removed.
