Remington 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum Capacity
The 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum is a 12 gauge with a 6 round tubular magazine mounted under the barrel chambered for up to 3” shells. The magazine is loaded by inserting rounds through the loading gate located on the bottom of the frame. Ammunition is chambered by pump action of the forend and the tubular magazine can be topped off between shots.
Remington 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum Feature
The 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum features an 18.5” barrel and incorporates twin action bars to alleviate binding while cycling the action. It features a cylinder bore to ease restriction of shot and patterns consistently 30” at 40 yards. It has a synthetic stock and forend with sling swivel studs installed. A cross bolt safety is installed at the rear of the trigger guard.

The 870 Special Purpose Marine Magnum’s synthetic stock is checkered to offer positive grip and control in the wet marine environment. The length of pull and drops at heel and comb offer positive target acquisition when shouldered to deliver fast, accurate shots on target.

The overall length of 38.5” and empty weight of 7.5 pounds offers an easily carried package in close quarters but enough mass to help tame felt recoil. The installed swivel studs allow a sling to be used to carry the shotgun when not in direct use.
