made with their 1640 action which is a slightly modified Mauser 98 action. The changes include a positive magazine floorplate release in the front of the trigger guard and a modified external bolt release. Unlike a Mauser 98, but like most other bolt action rifles, the magazine box is separate from the bottom iron. The rifle is very similar to their Model 1400 Lightweight, except for a different stock.
