Mossberg Mvp Light Chassis Capacity
The MVP is available in 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 Remington) and .308 Winchester (7.62x51mm NATO) and feeds from AR15 and AR10 magazines, respectively. These rifles ship with the short 10 round Magpul magazines which seem to be the most reliable in this rifle, but they can accept any brand or style mag. While the 20 and 30 round magazines do fit, they’re often a bit cumbersome.
Mossberg Mvp Light Chassis Feature
The Mossberg MVP Light Chassis is a bolt-action rifle built on a modified 100ATR receiver that is bedded in a chassis-style stock for increased precision. It has a 16.25 inch heavy-profile barrel that is capped with a muzzle brake, has a 4-slot M-LOK handguard, and has an adjustable stock.
Mossberg Mvp Light Chassis Ergonomics
The MVP has a very AR15-inspired feel to it with its Magpul pistol grip, adjustable stock and control layout. The big difference is in the much lighter trigger and the fact that it’s bolt action. The magazine well has an angled front wall that works as an angled front grip.
Mossberg Mvp Light Chassis Mobility
The MVP measures a touch over 36 inches and has an unloaded weight of approximately 7 pounds making it just as easy to carry as any off-the-shelf AR15. This allows the MVP to be employed as a lightweight and capable coyote rifle as well as a handy medium-range precision target rifle.
Mossberg Mvp Light Chassis Fit-N-Finish
The MVP Light Chassis has a simpler yet heavier barrel profile without any dovetail cuts for iron sights to improve accuracy along with a chassis-style stock that keeps all contact off of the barrel to eliminate human influence. Aside from these, its metallurgical makeup is identical to the original MVP.
