The lever-action Marlin 39A employs a fixed tube magazine capable of holding 19 rounds of .22LR plus 1 in the chamber. To load the Marlin 39A, remove the brass tube in side the magazine tube until the loading port is unobstructed, then load rounds into the magazine and replace the brass tube.
Marlin 39A Feature
The Marlin 39A was the first successful lever-action .22 caliber rifle and was made famous for its use by legendary shooter Annie Oakley. This rifle can hold as many as 19 rounds of .22Short and comes with an elevation-adjustable rear sight and hooded front sight.
Marlin 39A Ergonomics
The Marlin 39A uses many of the design features commonly found in lever-action guns. It uses a wooden forend and monte-carlo style stock which give the rifle a good overall balance while offering a comfortable sight picture.
Marlin 39A Mobility
The Marlin 39A measures 40 inches long and has a weight of 6.5 pounds making it rather easy to carry through most environments. Its lack of sharp edges and protruding contours prevent the 39A from getting caught on vegetation.
