See DealIt's the classic American long gun, a tool of history and just as much a symbol of the Old West as the six-shooter. The Marlin brand is synonymous with lever-action repeaters. It's a rich tradition, with a heritage stretching back to the Model 1881, Marlin's first centerfire, and the Model 1891, their first rimfire. In fact, Annie Oakley trusted the Model 1891 above all others to demonstrate her legendary marksmanship. Marlin 1894C Capacity
1894C is a lever action carbine chambered in 357 Magnum/38 Special with a 9 round under barrel tubular magazine. The magazine is loaded through a side loading gate located on the right side of the receiver. The cartridges have to be cycled through the chamber to be unloaded.
Marlin 1894C Feature
The 1894C follows Marlin’s standard of a flat top receiver that is drilled and tapped for mounting optics. The side ejection port keeps casings from impacting the mounted optic. An included hammer spur can be installed to allow the hammer to be cocked when optics are mounted. The iron sights are a semi buckhorn adjustable rear sight and a hooded front gold bead sight. The 18 ½” barrel has Ballard rifling with a 1:16” twist.
Marlin 1894C Ergonomics
The 1894C features a straight wrist stock with cut in checkering on the wrist and the fore stock for a secure grip in less than ideal conditions. The stock allows for a very fast, and natural point of aim for off hand shots while afield. The hammer and safety are easily reached from an operational grip with fingers in the action lever. Sling studs are installed for mounting a sling for carrying in the field.
Marlin 1894C Mobility
The 1894C’s chambering of a pistol cartridge, lightweight, and carbine length make it an ideal option for use in thick brush, woods, or for homestead defense while keeping felt recoil negligible for fast follow up shots.
Marlin 1894C Fit-N-Finish
The 1894C’s steel receiver and barrel are blued with a deep even color. The stock and fore stock are walnut with a gloss finish. Wood to steel match up is not perfect, with some gaps and rough edges on the wood. While not affecting performance in the field, it could be better.
