Magnum Research Bfr Capacity
The BFR has a 6 round cylinder and is available in a number of high-power calibers that include, but are not limited to, .44 Magnum, .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum, .45-70 Gov’t for some reason, and a handful of others. Rounds are loaded through a side loading gate behind the cylinder on the right side of the frame and are ejected with the assistance of an ejector rod.

The Magnum Research BFR goes by many names: Biggest Finest Revolver, Big Frame Revolver and a handful of other names, but we all know it got its name from ID Software’s 1994 “Doom II” wonderweapon known as the BFG, the Big F***ing Revolver. Modeled loosely after the Colt Single Action Army, this revolver is available with barrel lengths ranging from 2.5 inches out to 12 inches.
Magnum Research Bfr Ergonomics
The BFR is available with a classic Warfighter grip found on the old Colt SAA’s or is available with a rubberized grip for better recoil control. The grips are curved to allow the gun to pivot backwards and upwards when firing which allows the recoil impulse to be spread out for lower felt recoil and brings the hammer closer to the user’s thumb for a faster follow-up shot.
Magnum Research Bfr Fit-N-Finish
The BFR is made with high-strength stainless steel to ensure that it won’t explode on you when you’re sending such heavy calibers down-range. The only parts that aren’t stainless steel are the grips which are made of rubber or white polymer and the sights are made out of blued tool steel.
