Ingram Mac 11 Capacity
The MAC-11 is available in two calibers, .380ACP and 9x19mm Luger, and feeds from double-stack, single-feed detachable box magazines. The 16 round magazines stick out of the grip approximately one half of an inch while the 32 round magazines stick out over 4 inches. The feed spring in the magazine is incredibly heavy due to the high fire rate of the gun.
Ingram Mac 11 Feature
The Ingram MAC-11 is available as a transferable machine gun wherein it fires from the open bolt, is select fire and has a collapsing wire stock. It is also available as a semi-automatic pistol without a stock and fires from the closed bolt. The semi-automatic version is referred to as the M-11. Both have 5 inch threaded barrels and crude iron sights that are non-adjustable.
Ingram Mac 11 Ergonomics
The MAC-11 is simple in its design and ergonomics with its controls including a reciprocating top-mounted charging handle, a left-side mounted safety selector, and a magazine release located on the bottom of the grip. The simple design offers a vertical, boxy grip with no intuitive spot to place a support hand. The stock fails to offer a cheek weld, so most users brace the stock against their bicep, hold it sideways while firing or just simply hope for the best.
Ingram Mac 11 Mobility
With an unloaded weight of 3.5 pounds and overall lengths of 9.75 and 20.5 inches depending on stock length, the MAC-11 offers incredible mobility as a submachine gun and above-average mobility for a PDW. The simple controls would suggest to promote the mobility of the gun, however the incredibly high fire rate requires the user to reload more often.
Ingram Mac 11 Fit-N-Finish
The MAC-11 is among the cheapest of transferable machine guns due to its uncomfortable grip, boxy and short design and its general uncontrollability so many of them are modified and equipped with Lage Inc. conversion kits to improve their handling characteristics, looks and overall function.
