Kimber K6S Capacity
The Kimber K6S is chambered in .357 Magnum and has a 6 round cylinder, and can also safely fire .38 Special cartridges as well as a handful of others. Accessing the cylinder is as simple as pressing the cylinder release button on the left side of the frame allowing the cylinder to fall to the left side.
Kimber K6S Feature
The K6S is Kimber’s most notable entry into the revolver market. Designed for everyday carry as a defensive gun, this revolver is fired by a double action trigger pull. They are available with 2 and 4 inch barrels and are topped with windage-adjustable iron sights. These guns come in a target/hunting style setup as well as a practical carry setup.
Kimber K6S Ergonomics
The K6S has identical controls between the different possible setups, so the only difference in ergonomics are in the grips used for the different gun sizes. The full size grip offers a familiar K-frame feel that allows for a full-handed grip while the more compact version is built with a grip big enough for the middle and ring fingers to help tame the recoil.
Kimber K6S Concealability
While the 4-inch large-gripped K6S is nearly impossible to conceal, the compact 2” version is surprisingly easy to tuck away granted you are using a good holster and a smart choice of attire. This gun has angles and contours that were designed specifically to prevent clothing and other objects from snagging on the gun when you draw it from a holster.
Kimber K6S Fit-N-Finish
The Kimber K6S is made from stainless steel and is most commonly found with a matte stainless finish, however super-polished versions as well as ones with a black frame can be found with a little bit of searching. The trigger pulls are incredibly smooth thanks to the attention to detail and the care taken during manufacturing.
