Kel-Tec Sub CQB Features

The Kel-Tec Sub CQB is a semi-automatic pistol caliber carbine chambered in 9mm Luger that has an integrally suppressed barrel and, like its Sub-2000 predecessor,  IT FOLDS IN HALF! The barrel has 4 inches of rifling while the remaining 12 inches are bored out to support the baffles inside the suppressor, and a rotating barrel shroud allows you to mount optics and other goodies without impeding a complete fold.

The Kel-Tec Sub CQB is chambered in 9x19mm Luger and feeds from any 9mm Glock magazine that fits in a Glock 19.  While the standard magazine capacity with a flush-fitting mag gives you 15 rounds, the 17-round Glock 17 magazine will fit as well as the 32 round extended mags.  The 10-round limited magazines will also fit, however since this is carbine is an NFA item, owning it means you don’t live in a state with capacity restrictions.
Suppressors are typically heavy, however the Sub-CQB weighs only 1 pound more than the Sub-2000.  Its unloaded weight is a featherlight 5.15 pounds, and its overall length when unfolded is 29.25 inches.  With a weight and length significantly shorter than a typical AR15, this carbine allows the user to easily move through any close-quarter environment.

Ergonomics
The Sub-CQB is identical in form and function behind the chamber.  The 3-position stock can be adjusted within 1.5 inches to get a better length of pull, the charging handle remains under the buffer tube, the cross bar safety sits above the grip, and the classic Kel-Tec grip remains.  Forward of the chamber sits a polymer handguard that can easily be relocated (or removed) to keep you from burning your hand when the barrel gets hot. 

Kel-Tec Sub CQB Fit & Finish

The Sub-CQB uses the same polymer blend for all of its polymer components regardless of the gun.  Parts may feel or look flimsy, but the plastic is incredibly durable.  The barrel shroud around the suppressed barrel is made of 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum, the industry standard.  This carbine has a 16.2 inch barrel so you will only need to file one ATF Form 1 to purchase this gun.

The Sub-CQB folds in half to give it an overall length of 16.25 inches.  This allows the carbine to easily be carried in a backpack when out hiking or otherwise concealed for…other reasons.  The barrel shroud is able to rotate so the gun can be folded even with optics mounted on the scope rail.  This folding ability also allows the gun to be tucked into the drawer of most larger nightstands if used for home defense.
