Kel-Tec Pmr-30 Capacity
The PMR-30 is chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire (.22 WMR, .22 Magnum) and feeds from an incredibly unique fiberglass magazine that allows for a 30-round capacity. This pistol is known to have no feeding issues with different bullet types whether they’re round-nose, hollow point or ballistic tip rounds.
Kel-Tec Pmr-30 Feature
The Kel-Tec PMR-30 is a polymer-framed, semi-automatic pistol that fires from a single-action trigger pull and operates on a modified direct-blowback action. While there is no actual locking mechanism, the barrel can reciprocate with the slide for a fraction of an inch, and this is to allow time for the fired case to retract before extraction to reduce friction and increase reliability. The PMR-30 has a 4.4 inch barrel paired with fiber-optic sights and has a frame that includes an accessory rail for mounting lasers and weapon lights.
Kel-Tec Pmr-30 Ergonomics
The PMR-30 has a grip that is unlike any other pistol on the market wherein it is thin and allows you to easily wrap your hand around it, but it’s notably long and many users with smaller hands may have trouble getting proper finger placement on the trigger. The grip offers a full-handed grip, and the magazine release is located on the back of the grip behind the floor plate of the magazine. The safety is ambidextrous, and the slide, which is only a few inches long, has geometry that allows for a solid grasp no matter how oily your hands get.
Kel-Tec Pmr-30 Concealability
The PMR-30 measures 7.9 inches long, 5.8 inches tall and 1.2 inches wide making it incredibly difficult to conceal. While its length and width are similar to a 1911, its extra height would cause the grip to poke into clothing where it can easily let everyone around you know that you’re packin’. This gun was not designed with concealment in mind and is far better suited to range use and pest control.
Kel-Tec Pmr-30 Fit-N-Finish
The PMR-30 is made with well-manufactured steel components that typically have a blued finish and polymer components made out of the same plastic that is used in the KSG instead of the “recycled beach plastic” used for a number of their earlier guns. If it can handle 12 gauge, it can handle the recoil from a 22.
