These features result in a micro-compact pistol in a fighting caliber with very little felt recoil and quick follow-up shots. The P380 does not have a magazine disconnect nor does it have double-strike capability. The Kahr P380 is chambered in .380 ACP and feeds from a proprietary single-stack magazine with a capacity of 6 rounds. Although this pistol has a Browning-style lockup, it’s not rated to handle +P loads.
Kahr P380 Feature
The Kahr P380 is a sub-compact, polymer framed semi-automatic pistol that operates on a Browning-style short-recoil action with a tilting barrel. Firing from a double-action trigger pull, this gun was designed for discreet pocket carry back before people realized that wide guns are tough to conceal.
Kahr P380 Ergonomics
The P380 has very similar controls to a Glock, especially with its lack of an external safety. The front and back of the grip include a square-style grip texture while the sides feature a gravel-style grip pattern. The trigger has an incredibly heavy pull “for safety” and to keep the slide closed longer when firing.
Kahr P380 Concealability
The Kahr P380 is a very small gun measuring a little bit over an inch wide and can easily be tucked away just about anywhere on your person. Because there is no external safety, be sure to carry it in some kind of holster.

The Kahr P380 is built on a polymer frame that is impressively resilient against wear damage, the slide is made of stainless steel that features a satin finish, and there’s a loaded chamber indicator to help the new gun owners remember that carrying with an empty chamber is like not wearing a seatbelt because “I’ll have time to put it on before I crash my car.”
