Issc Mk22 Capacity
The ISSC MK22 is chambered in .22LR and feeds from a proprietary single-stack magazine with a standard capacity of 22 rounds. Magazines of the same size but with a 10-round limiter installed are easily available to users who live in states with dumb gun laws. This gun is not compatible with other AR15 pattern magazines as the knobs on the follower are required to engage the last-round bolt-hold-open lever.
Issc Mk22 Feature
If you always wanted an FN SCAR but couldn’t justify the price tag, if you have a SCAR and now you can’t afford so much ammo, or if you’re just looking for an incredibly neat looking .22 caliber rifle, the ISSC MK22 might be perfect. The MK22 is a semi-automatic .22 caliber rifle that operates on a direct blowback action and includes a few extra features over its inspiration. This rifle has a 16.5 inch barrel, a folding and adjustable stock, and the same general manual of arms as the FN SCAR, just with a lot less recoil combined with a cheaper ammo cost and price tag.
Issc Mk22 Ergonomics
The ISSC MK22 has the same general feel as a SCAR with two big differences. The safety is offset and has a 90 degree throw instead of a 45, and the reciprocating charging handle can be moved to three different positions along the receiver which allows you to correct for optics mounts. The rest of the controls are very similar, though the trigger has a different feel and the gun is lighter than an actual SCAR. Otherwise, the MK22 makes for a reasonable low-cost training substitute if you’re looking for more range time between shooting competitions.
Issc Mk22 Mobility
With an unloaded weight of 6.6 pounds and an overall length of 34.8 inches, the MK22 offers a very similar mobility score to the SCAR making it a good substitution for running live-fire drills. Since the stock folds, it can easily be maneuvered around corners and through tight spaces, all this allowing for a far better training analogue for the SCAR than any other .22 caliber rifle.
Issc Mk22 Fit-N-Finish
Instead of being made from extrusions of magnesium and precision-machined parts, the MK22 is mostly made of a reasonably durable polymer with steel parts machined to rather loose tolerances. This extra space between components allows the user to let the gun get dirty without quickly causing malfunctions. This is a big plus, especially when you consider that a proper field strip of this rifle is somehow more complex than a real SCAR.
