The PPS-43C (Pistolet-Pulemet Sudaeva, model of 1943 = Sudaev SMG) was born as an answer to the need for a weapon that is more compact and mobile than the PPSh-41, then in use by the Soviet Army. The PPSh-41
...
was somewhat too long to be used by tank crews and mobile recon groups and paratroopers, so late in 1941, the Red Army issued a request for a new more compact sub machine gun (SMG). The designer Sudaev initially designed his new SMG in 1942, and it was adopted under the designation of PPS-42. The next year he refined the design, and this final model was designated as the PPS-43. This model was manufactured in significant numbers (nearly two million PPS-43 weapons were manufactured between 1943 and 1946). The PPS-43 is sometimes referred to as the best SMG of World War II. After WWII, it was widely exported to pro-Soviet regimes around the world, and widely copied.Inter Ordnance PPS43C For Sale

Inter Ordnance Pps43C Capacity
The Inter Ordnance PPS43C is chambered in 7.62x25mm and feeds from double-stack magazines. This pistol will accept all Polish PPS43 magazines. Unlike the PPSh41, there are no drum magazines that work in this pistol, nor are there 10 round magazines.
Inter Ordnance Pps43C Feature
The IO PPS43C is a short-barreled, semi-automatic version of the Soviet PPS43 and is built on Polish parts kits. Though the stock is attached to this pistol, it is welded in its folded position and cannot be deployed without filing an ATF Form 1 and hiring a skilled gunsmith. The PPS43C fires from a closed bolt.
Inter Ordnance Pps43C Ergonomics
The PPS43C is built with a stamped steel construction and demands a strange hand placement that is far from intuitive. This pistol’s charging handle is located along the right side of the receiver and sits under the ejection port. Its stamped handguard is open on the bottom side.
Inter Ordnance Pps43C Mobility
The PPS43C has an unloaded weight of 6.7 pounds and measures 24.2 inches long. Though its light weight will take longer to cause fatigue when carrying it for long durations, its strange handling can make it difficult to maneuver through close-quarter environments.
Inter Ordnance Pps43C Fit-N-Finish
The overall build quality of the PPS43C is impressive thanks to its properly-installed rivets and thick stamped steel construction. The blueing on the steel parts is very durable against weather damage while the hardened steel pieces are thick and strong enough to prevent damage from rough use.
