Ballistic Stats
The Howa HCR chassis rifle is a representative example of the all-metal rifle versus the more conventionally stocked products available to shooters. Long-range, target and military shooters learned long ago that when a barreled action is married to a rifle stock system with a solid bolt-to-frame link up, the end result is no variation of drift or accuracy. The bottom line here is that the total system won’t change the impact point of bullets, as will some of the more standard wood-

Howa Hcr Capacity
The HCR is chambered in either .308 Winchester or 6.5 Creedmoor and feeds from AICS pattern magazines. This gives the HCR two standard capacities of 5 and 10 rounds. Since this rifle is chambered for .308, it can also fire 7.62x51mm NATO rounds with no issue.
Howa Hcr Feature
The Howa HCR (Howa Chassis Rifle) is a bolt-action precision rifle that is built on a Mauser-style short action set in a chassis instead of a stock. It has a 24 inch barrel and is available with a threaded muzzle or a target crown, and has a 12-inch M-LOK handguard.
Howa Hcr Ergonomics
The HCR has a very modern feel with a practical control setup. The magazine release is similar to the AKM, the safety can be found towards the back of the receiver behind the bolt handle on the right side, and this rifle uses AR15 style grips. The stock can be fine-tuned to fit your body.
Howa Hcr Mobility
The HCR measures 46.25 inches long and has an unloaded weight of 10.6 pounds. Once a scope and bipod are attached, this rifle typically ends up weighing between 12 and 14 pounds. While this is fine for bench shooting or hunting from a deer blind or a tree stand, walking around with this rifle might be difficult.
Howa Hcr Fit-N-Finish
The HCR is available with a number of color schemes. It’s most commonly available in Multicam, but it’s also available in black, desert tan, painted to look like an American flag, and a few other color schemes. The chassis is made of a combination of aluminum and high-strength composite parts.
