The HK USP is the first HK pistol designed especially for American shooters. Features favored by U.S. law enforcement and military users provided the design criteria for the USP. The controls are uniquely influenced by such famous designs as the Government model 1911 pistol. The HK USP is chambered in .45ACP and has a standard magazine capacity of 12 rounds fed through double-stack, single-feed magazines, and 10-round magazines are available in states with capacity restrictions. The USP is also available in .40S&W as well as 9x19mm Luger.
Hk Usp Feature
The HK USP is a polymer-framed, semi-automatic pistol with a 4.25 inch barrel and can be fired from either a single- or double-action trigger pull. Designed as an offensive weapon instead of a defensive tool, this ultra-reliable pistol uses the tried-and-true Browning tilting-barrel short-recoil action. The slide is topped with windage-adjustable rear sights and the frame has a “universal” accessory rail for mounting lights and lasers designed for HK pistols.
Hk Usp Ergonomics
The HK USP is built with a right-handed control layout aside from the ambidextrous magazine release. The slide release lever is extended to allow users to easily close the action with their thumb and the manual safety also acts as a de-cocking lever. The full-sized grip is textured on all four sides and has scallops molded into the bottom to aid in magazine removal if the mag needs to be manually removed. The large slide has deep, wide slide serrations that offer plenty of grip when manually cycling the action even when your hands are sweaty.
Hk Usp Concealability
The USP measures 7.9 inches long, 5.3 inches tall and 1.26 inches wide. With its sharp grip contours, exposed hammer, blocky edges and aggressive grip texturing, concealment would be very difficult without proper attire, and its geometry can easily cause discomfort when carried in certain positions.
Hk Usp Fit-N-Finish
Every component of the HK USP has been designed for durability and reliability above all else. While the parts are durable, they are also designed for shootability which led to an incredibly smooth trigger pull and soft recoil. The coating on the stainless steel slide make the gun incredibly resistant to damage from weather and wear, and the buffer system included in the recoil spring assembly reduces shock stress to internal components.
