The GSG AK47 22 Tribute is chambered in .22LR and feeds from proprietary polymer magazines designed to follow the silhouette of the easily recognizable AKM magazine. Capacities include 10 rounds for states with magazine restrictions while the standard magazine capacity is 24 rounds.

The GSG AK47 22 Tribute is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22LR. This direct-blowback operated rifle is built with a 16.25 inch barrel and is designed to look and handle like the venerable AKM rifle. This rifle also includes a cut in the safety lever that can be used to lock the bolt to the rear for another degree of safety.
Gsg Ak47 22 Tribute Ergonomics
The GSG AK47 22 Tribute has an identical control layout to the AKM. The magazine release is located between the magazine and the trigger guard, the safety lever is located on the right side of the receiver and the reciprocating charging handle is located on the right side along the bolt. The handguard, pistol grip and stock are cut very close to the original design offering a familiar feel.

The GSG AK47 22 Tribute has an overall length of 34.5 inches and weighs 7 pounds. With an identical weight, length and control setup to the real AK47, this rifle offers identical mobility to its inspiration and provides an excellent low-operating-cost training tool. This rifle is just as capable of being moved through all environments as the 7.62 caliber version.
Gsg Ak47 22 Tribute Fit-N-Finish
On the outside, the GSG AK47 22 Tribute looks and feels like a real AKM. The real wood furniture gives a very similar feel as well. The internals are completely different, though. The bolt group assembly is very complex and is most easily cleaned by removing the assembly and spraying it with brake cleaner. Wear gloves and safety glasses. Let it air dry and use 3-in-1 oil to lubricate it once it’s dry.
