Glock 43 Capacity
Often sold with a 6 and 7 round single-stack magazine (new), the Glock 43 offers capacities on par with the most common sub-compact pistols. Aftermarket manufacturers also offer a 10 round single-stack magazine specifically designed for the Glock 43. Magazines for the Glock 48 do fit into and work with the Glock 43, though a spacer sleeve is required around the magazine to prevent damage to internal parts in the Glock 43. The aftermarket industry has recently unveiled a 15 round stamped steel magazine for the Glock 48, and with the employment of the same spacer and the replacement to a metal magazine release, the Glock 43 can offer the same capacity as a Glock 19.
Glock 43 Feature
The Glock 43 is a polymer-framed, semi-automatic, sub-compact pistol that is designed for concealed carry when discretion is paramount. This pistol operates on the same short-recoil operated action with a tilting 3.41 inch barrel and even uses the same square-notch sights as its bigger brothers. The 43 differs from other Glocks through its slim frame and single-stack magazine, yet it retains the look and reliability. This Glock is compatible with a selection of other Glock magazines that allow for the potential of an incredibly versatile pistol, though its limitations in those scenarios are easily noticed.
Glock 43 Ergonomics
Though it’s one of Glock’s smallest pistols, it’s still large enough to get a decent grip without risking hand cramps. The frame allows most users to get two fingers on the grip while extended magazine end caps can allow a full-handed grip on such a small gun. The rounded edges of the slide allow for comfortable concealed carry, and when combined with the gun’s small size, it’s highly unlikely that this gun will cause any discomfort by digging into your hip or torso. The other side of that coin comes in its recoil impulse whereas a lighter gun will have more snap when compared to a larger Glock of the same caliber.
Glock 43 Concealability
The Glock 43 is small enough that it can be concealed just about anywhere and everywhere. Its short grip and its 1” overall width allow it to be hidden anywhere on your person with minimal printing. Whether you’re carrying inside the waistband, tossing it in your pocket, carrying it in a small bag or even carrying it around your ankle, the most difficult aspect of concealing a Glock 43 is picking out your favorite quality holster. Seriously, the only two things you need to make this gun disappear under your clothing involve a good holster and clothing long enough to actually cover it.
Glock 43 Fit-N-Finish
The build quality of the Glock 43 is exactly what you would expect out of any Glock. The 43 is available with a matte stainless steel finish or it can be coated with their nDLC coating that is seen on Gen 4 and 5 Glock pistols, primarily. The slides can also come in a variety of colors thanks to Glock cerakoting the slides often to match the wide variety of frame colors. Every tactical color, robins egg blue, hot pink, white, and purple are currently offered along with many other color schemes.
