Remarkable for its accuracy and light recoil, the GLOCK 21SF delivers the legendary stopping power of the .45 AUTO round with 10/13 round magazine capacity. Countless law enforcement units swear by the G21SF pistol, and that's why this powerful, lightweight, all climate workhorse is standard issue from the North to South Poles. The SF model reduces the circumference of the receiver at the rear, or "back strap," offering increased comfort and controlespecially for shooters with smaller hands. This model features a threaded barrel.

Glock 21SF Features

The Glock 21 SF is a Gen3 Glock pistol that is built on a polymer frame and operates on a Browning-inspired short-recoil action with a tilting barrel.  This striker-fired hand cannon includes an accessory rail for mounting lights and lasers if desired, and uses a 4.61 inch barrel which is long enough to have muzzle velocities comparable to that of a 5 inch 1911.  The rear sight is windage adjustable and the grip is modified from the typical Gen3 style.

Glock 21SF Capacity

The Glock 21 is chambered in .45ACP and feeds from any full-size double-stack, single-feed Glock magazine designed around the .45ACP cartridge.  The standard magazine capacity for the Glock 21 SF is 13 rounds, however magazines limited to 10 rounds are available to users who live in a state with capacity restrictions.  Glock as well as aftermarket sources make a 25 round extended capacity magazine.

Glock 21SF Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Glock 21 SF has a Short Frame which means the grip circumference has been reduced.  This has many benefits as the smaller grip allows for users with smaller hands to properly hold it and users with larger hands can more fully wrap their fingers around it.  The slide has grip serrations that flank the rear sight, however being a Gen3, your slide may have their “Frying Pan” style Tennifer coating, though half-way through production they would switch to the useful nDLC coating that isn’t so slippery.

Glock 21SF Fit & Finish

The Glock 21 SF is built following Gen3 prints and is built on a high-strength polymer frame that is very resilient against cracking and wear.  The slides and barrels are made of stainless steel and are typically coated with Glock’s Tenifer coating that many refer to as “the frying pan coating”.  Both it and the nDLC coating offer excellent wear resistance and ensure that the slide and barrel are protected against wear and corrosion.

Glock 21SF Concealability

Concealability
Measuring 5.5 inches tall, 1.26 inches wide and 8.07 inches long, the Glock 21 SF is nearly unconcealable.  With an overall size nearly identical to the 1911, the only advantages in concealment are the increased ammo capacity and the lack of an exposed hammer.  The Glock 21 SF is most easily carried in an open-carry setup similar to how police and competition shooters rock their boomsticks.
