The GLOCK 36 packs 6 rounds of .45 Caliber AUTO stopping power in a package that fits the hands of most any user. In the SLIMLINE™ design, GLOCK has incorporated the use of a single stack magazine. The G36 measures only 1.13 in. in width which makes controlling recoil very simple. The G36 is easy-to-use, hard to see, and tough to face.

Glock 36 Capacity

The Glock 36 is chambered in .45ACP and feeds from a single-stack 6 round magazine.  Unlike most Glocks, these magazines are not flush-fit in the grip, and this is to accommodate enough room for the magazine spring and follower and still hold 6 rounds of the Lord’s caliber.  Unlike other Glock pistols, there are no aftermarket magazines with higher capacities.

Glock 36 Feature

The Glock 36 is a polymer-framed, striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol that operates on a short recoil action with a tilting barrel.  This pistol was only manufactured under Gen3 production and was designed to deliver the heavy-hitting firepower of the .45 ACP in a package that is easy to conceal.  It has a 3.78 inch barrel paired with windage-adjustable sights and the frame includes a short accessory rail for attaching a light.
Glock 36 Feature

Glock 36 Ergonomics

The Glock 36 has the typical control layout of a Gen3 pistol with the most notable difference being found along the grip.  As a sub-compact pistol, the grip has enough surface area to accommodate the user’s middle and ring fingers with a possible full-hand grip in users with smaller hands.  The slide has grip serrations that flank the rear sight to provide extra traction to fight the heavy recoil spring when manually cycling the action.

Glock 36 Concealability

Measuring 7 inches long with a height of only 4.7 inches (including magazine), the Glock 36 is the easiest .45 caliber Glock pistol to conceal.  It is rather wide, though at 1.26 inches, all you’d need to keep this hidden from the wandering eye is a slightly baggy shirt and the right holster.

Glock 36 Fit-N-Finish

The Glock 36 is built to the same tolerances and specs as all other Gen3 Glock models.  The slide and barrel, depending on its manufacture date, either have the Tennifer “frying pan” coating or they have the newer nDLC coating.
