Iwi Galil Ace Capacity
The Galil ACE is chambered in 5.56x45mmNATO (.223 Remington), 7.62x39mm, and 7.62x51mmNATO (.308 Winchester). When chambered in NATO calibers, the ACE uses AR pattern magazines allowing capacities of 20 and 30 rounds while the 7.62x39 setups use AKM magazines giving you a standard magazine capacity of 30 rounds.
Iwi Galil Ace Feature
The Galil ACE is available as a rifle or pistol and is available in a handful of calibers. This gun is gas operated and has an operating system that is nearly identical to the AK47. The ACE series offers many design upgrades over the original Galil rifle including a full-length optics rail that actually holds zero. The handguard of the ACE is free-floating and is completely modular.
Iwi Galil Ace Ergonomics
The Galil ACE has many upgrades over the original Galil. The charging handle was moved to the left side of the gun similar to the FN FAL, the safety is ambidextrous along with the magazine release, and the ACE is equipped with an adjustable stock. The ACE is compatible with aftermarket AKM pistol grips, however the factory grip is already comfy enough. The ACE uses AR15 compatible stocks.
Iwi Galil Ace Mobility
The Galil ACE measures 34.5 inches long with its stock collapsed and unfolded and has an unloaded weight of 7.5 pounds for the 5.56 and x39 versions with the .308 version being about an inch longer and about a pound heavier. With its folding stock and improved controls, the ACE offers the best mobility of any AK-style rifle.
Iwi Galil Ace Fit-N-Finish
The ACE was designed as an improvement over the original Galil in every aspect. While it has AK reliability, it was designed to further prevent dirt, dust and debris from entering the gun further improving its reliability. Its receiver retains the stamped steel design and it still runs on a long-stroke gas piston. This version of the Galil sadly doesn’t have a bottle opener on the back of its handguard, but it does have Picatinny rails under its handguard covers.
