H&K G28 Capacity
The G28 is chambered in 7.62x51mmNATO and feeds from 10 and 20 round detachable box magazines. This rifle is NOT compatible with standard AR10 or SR25 pattern magazines. Instead, HK once again decided to flex on the poors by designing a proprietary translucent polymer magazine that allows the user to visually check the amount of rounds contained inside.
H&K G28 Feature
The HK G28 is a select-fire battle rifle that was built to be so accurate that it got re-classified as a designated marksman’s rifle. Built with a 16.5 inch free-floating barrel and adjustable stock, this rifle makes every improvement over the AR10 including its gas system that uses a short-stroke gas piston to keep the bolt carrier group from heating up and impacting the accuracy.
H&K G28 Ergonomics
The G28 has a padded buttstock that adjusts like an AR15. The G28 has ambidextrous controls that are identically laid out to the AR10. The optics rail is a fraction of an inch higher than what you would find on an AR10, and this allows for people with larger facial features to hold a proper sight picture when aiming through iron sights or optics.

The G28 has an overall length of 35.7 to 39.1 inches depending on the stock placement and an unloaded weight of 9.7 pounds. With the addition of a scope and a full magazine, this rifle easily exceeds 12 pounds which keeps it on-par with other 7.62 NATO chambered battle rifles. With the familiar AR style controls, this rifle is rather easy to move around.
H&K G28 Fit-N-Finish
The G28 is made with forged receivers made of 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum and is available with a black type-3 hard anodize coating or a multi-colored tan-scale cerakote scheme. The barrel is made of 4150 vanadium and has a chrome-lined chamber.
