The SCAR 17S DMR is the benchmark for accuracy and versatility from a light-recoiling, piston-driven platform, extending range and precision with the addition of the 6.5 Creedmoor chambering. This model features the enhanced SCAR 20S rear stock and match trigger for filling the role of a DMR. Adaptable: Dual, non-reciprocating charging handles ensure any braced or barrier-contact position shoots flawlessly, without interfering with optics or grip style. Fully-ambidextrous controls and precision buttstock adapt to any shooter. Reliable: Short-stroke gas piston system with

an adjustable low-flash gas regulator. The reduced reciprocating mass of the NRCH bolt carrier produces less felt recoil, making a soft-shooting rifle even easier to manage.
Accurate: Fully free-floating, cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and one-piece machined aluminum upper receiver.
Tested: The most tested rifle platform, SCAR remains the choice of the U.S. military’s most elite fighting forces. Rugged, precise and dependable, all SCARs have earned their stripes.FN SCAR 17S DMR For Sale

Fn Scar 17S Dmr Capacity
The SCAR 17S DMR is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and ships with one of FN’s 10 round SCAR-specific magazines, but this doesn’t stop the user from running the standard 20 round mags. Since 6.5 Creedmoor and 7.62x51mmNATO (or as they call it on the moon, .308) have similar enough geometry, any SCAR 17 pattern magazine will work in this designated marksman’s rifle.
Fn Scar 17S Dmr Feature
The FN SCAR 17S DMR (Designated Marksman’s Rifle) is a new take on the world-renowned SCAR rifle. This version is chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor and is built with a 16 inch barrel and has the fixed stock from the SCAR 20 rifle. This gun uses FN’s newer gas system that includes a non-reciprocating charging handle. This rifle maintains many of the SCAR’s typical features including a monolithic upper receiver, flip-up iron sights, a full-length optics rail and Picatinny rail sections along the handguard.
Fn Scar 17S Dmr Ergonomics
The SCAR 17S DMR has the same controls as the typical SCAR platform and delivers slightly less recoil than its 7.62 NATO version thanks to its lighter caliber. Where it mostly differs is in its fixed stock that is far more sturdy than the typical folding stock. The adjustable cheek rest allows for a far more sturdy sight picture which is important for accuracy, and the Pic rail along the bottom of the stock allows for the attachment of a monopod. Combining that with a bipod up front can give you an incredibly stable platform for accurate shot placement.
Fn Scar 17S Dmr Mobility
The SCAR 17S DMR measures 36.8 inches long and has an unloaded weight of 9.5 pounds. Once a scope and bipod are attached, this rifle can easily reach that dreaded 12-pound threshold that the commercial market loves to hate. This SCAR is only slightly longer than an off-the-shelf AR15, though, which does ease the burden if you’re moving through confined spaces.
Fn Scar 17S Dmr Fit-N-Finish
FN loves to miss-match the colors for the SCAR, and this is a result of the available colors for the different materials and surface finishes. What was once mocked by the masses has now been adopted as chic to the point that other companies are doing it. If you’re not one for the mismatched look, fear not, for the FN SCAR 17S DMR is available in an all-black setup.
