The FN 15 Guardian applies the FN battle-proven blueprint to a brand new rifle, making FN quality accessible to all home defenders and sport shooters. Proven to perform on any front, this new carbine has the critical upgrades for tack-driving accuracy, with a nitrided 16-inch CMV steel MIL-B-11595 barrel and 15-inch free-float aluminum handguard. The mid-length gas system reduces recoil impulse with a low-profile gas block impinging gas to the mil-spec bolt carrier.

FN FN15 Guardian Features

The FN15 Guardian is a mid-tier AR15 pattern rifle that is produced by a company that really cares about quality and end-user experience.  This semi-automatic rifle has a 16 inch barrel paired with a mid-length gas system that feeds the internal-piston action with just enough gas pressure to ensure proper function without overgassing the system causing excess recoil and wear.  Its 15 inch long free-floating M-Lok handguard continues the full-length top rail out to the muzzle allowing for a long sight radius as well as offering enough real estate to attach any optics setup imaginable.

FN FN15 Guardian Ballistics

FN FN15 Guardian Capacity

The FN15 is chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 Remington) and feeds from all AR15 pattern magazines.  This gives the rifle a standard magazine capacity of 30 rounds, however shorter 5, 10 and 20 round magazines are available.  In addition to that, 40, 60 and even 100 round box magazines are available as are 60 and 100 round drum magazines.

Measuring anywhere from 32 to 35.5 inches long depending on the stock placement and with an unloaded weight of 6.6 pounds, the FN15 Guardian is just as long and a good amount lighter than a typical AR15.  Between this reduced weight and the superior manufacturing quality found in this rifle, the Guardian is clearly superior to entry-level ARs at a price point that even people on a budget can typically afford.

FN FN15 Guardian Mobility

FN FN15 Guardian Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The FN15 Guardian uses MIL-SPEC pattern fire control components with honed and polished contacting surfaces for a superior trigger pull.  The adjustable stock allows the user to change the length of pull to account for differences in height and attire, and the factory-installed pistol grip fills the hand far better than the $4 OG grip.  The handguard has an octagonal cross section that offers a favorable support grip while the M-Lok slots allow the user to attach a seemingly endless supply of front grips.

FN FN15 Guardian Fit & Finish

There are two types of budget AR15s: the ones that are built out of the cheapest parts imaginable, and the ones that are built by people who care.  The FN15 Guardian falls wonderfully into the latter category with its billet upper receiver and proper part selection while maintaining all of the standard internal parts that have had 60+ years worth of research and development applied.  Most, if not all contacting surfaces are precision-machined to ensure a smooth action while the aluminum components are coated with a Type-III Hard Anodize finish.
