To meet the demands of the American consumer, we developed the patent-pending Extar Dynamic Feed Control which reliably feeds any bullet profile. This system uses constant physical surface contact with the round during the chambering process to ensure precise and reliable loading. The Dynamic Feed Control is combined with our proven blowback system and proprietary Extar Recoil Damper to negate the harsh recoil impulse found in most blowback firearms and regulate bolt speed, all without introducing moving parts that require lubrication, tuning, and frequent replacement.
Made by shooters and for shooters, the Extar EP45 shares all of the comforts of the familiar Extar EP9 to create a tool that can be picked up and used competently by shooters of nearly any skill level. Extar Ep45 Capacity
The Extar EP45 is chambered in .45 ACP and can feed from any Glock magazine that fits into a Glock 21. This gives the EP45 a standard capacity of 13 rounds while 10-round magazines are available in states with capacity restrictions as well as 25 and 30 round extended magazines for those in free states. The internal geometry of the EP45, most notably the feed ramps, are designed to reliably feed every type of projectile.
Extar Ep45 Feature
The Extar EP45 is a semi-automatic AR15 inspired pistol caliber carbine that operates on a direct-blowback action. It is built with a 6.5 inch barrel with a ⅝-24UNEF-2B threaded muzzle and comes with a muzzle blast diversion can installed at the factory. It has a full-length optics rail that extends forward to a free-floating 7 inch M-LOK handguard and has a side-mounted reciprocating charging handle.
Extar Ep45 Ergonomics
Aside from its magazine angle and reciprocating side-mounted charging handle, the EP45 has an identical control setup to the AR15. This pistol also employs AR15 style grips which can be switched out with other aftermarket options to fit the user’s preference, and it has a padded buffer tube that allows a somewhat comfortable cheek weld when accuracy matters.
Extar Ep45 Mobility
Measuring just under 24 inches long with an unloaded weight under 5 pounds, the EP45 offers hard-hitting firepower in a lightweight platform that can easily be maneuvered through close quarter environments making it a handy tool for home defense and competition shooting. Its small size also makes it a decent choice to keep in your vehicle (be sure to secure it) and its magazine compatibility with Glock can make it a good back-up gun.
Extar Ep45 Fit-N-Finish
The EP45 is built on a polymer receiver set in order to reduce the overall weight and it is built with an AR15 pattern trigger group. The bolt is made of stainless steel to prevent rust and corrosion and the barrel has polygonal rifling to increase accuracy, barrel life and muzzle velocity.
