Daniel Defense Dd5 V5 Capacity
The Daniel Defense DD5 V5 is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and uses AR10 pattern magazines designed to hold 7.62x51mm (.308WIN in Freedom Units) rounds. This gives the rifle capacities of 10, 20, and 25 rounds in box magazines while allowing up to 50 rounds in aftermarket drum magazines.

The Daniel Defense DD5 V5 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 6.5 creedmoor and has an 18 inch free-floating handguard allowing for a full-length, continuous top rail measuring more than 24 inches allowing the user to mount just about any optics setup imaginable. The rifle is built with a carbine buffer tube and an adjustable stock.
Daniel Defense Dd5 V5 Ergonomics
The DD5 V5 includes fully-ambidextrous controls including its safety, magazine release, bolt release, and charging handle to accommodate both left and right handed shooters. The ergonomic pistol grip and adjustable stock add extra comfort and fit while its more narrow handguard allows for a more complete grip when firing.

The DD5 V5 weighs 8.9 pounds unloaded and measures a hair over 38 inches long. Free-floated AR10 pattern guns are known to be heavier, but the DD5 V5 remains lighter than its competitors. Its telescoping stock allows for more easy maneuvering in close-quarter environments while allowing for a tailored length of pull when it’s time to start shooting.
