See DealThe Škorpion vz. 61 (or Sa vz. 61 Skorpion) is a Czechoslovak machine pistol developed in 1959 by Miroslav Rybář (1924–1970) and produced under the official designation Samopal vzor 61 ("submachine gun model 1961") by the Česká zbrojovka arms factory in Uherský Brod from 1963 to 1979. Although it was developed for use with security forces, the weapon was also accepted into service with the Czechoslovak Army as a personal sidearm for lower-ranking army staff, vehicle drivers, armoured vehicle personnel and special
...
forces. Currently the weapon is in use with the armed forces of several countries as a sidearm. A variant of the Škorpion, containing a synthetic pistol grip in place of the wooden original, was built under license in Yugoslavia, designated M84. A civilian, semi-automatic version was also produced, known as the M84ACZ VZ 61 Scorpion For Sale

Cz Vz 61 Scorpion Capacity
The VZ.61 Skorpion is chambered in .32ACP and uses double-feed detachable box magazines with 10 and 20 round capacities. The 10 round magazines were primarily used to keep the gun loaded while holstered and the 20 round magazines were used when things got heavy.
Cz Vz 61 Scorpion Feature
The Vz.61 Skorpion is a select-fire personal defense weapon (PDW) that fires from a closed bolt and operates on a direct-blowback action. This tiny submachine gun has a cyclic rate of 850 rounds per minute and is built with a 4.5 inch barrel. The folding wire stock allows for more accurate supported fire when deployed and the handiness of a pistol when folded.
Cz Vz 61 Scorpion Ergonomics
The Skorpion has very intuitive controls including its safety that is easily controlled with the shooter’s thumb and its magazine release. The charging handles sit to the left and right of the front of the bolt making it easy to charge the gun with two fingers. The stock can easily be deployed by slapping it upwards and letting it fly back. The strangely-shaped pistol grip has a vertical front surface to accommodate the fire rate reducer.
Cz Vz 61 Scorpion Mobility
Measuring 10.6 inches with its stock folded and weighing less than 3 pounds, the Skorpion is easily carried in a holster and can easily be fired with the stock folded. With its stock deployed, the Skorpion measures 20.4 inches long making it a very easy weapon to carry and use in close-quarter environments as well as in vehicles.
Cz Vz 61 Scorpion Fit-N-Finish
The Skorpion definitely shows that it is a product of Soviet cold war engineering from its design to its production. The most unique part of this gun is its fire rate reducer located inside the pistol grip. Due to its light weight and direct blowback action, a spring-loaded catch was added to hold onto the bolt for a fraction of a second to slow the fire rate down to a manageable 850 rounds per minute.
