The M16A4 accepts all AR15 pattern magazines, giving the user capacities of 10, 20, 30, 40, 60, and 100 rounds in detachable box magazines and 60, 75, and 100 rounds in drum magazines.

The M16A4 has a fixed composite stock that cannot be adjusted. It has the same controls as a typical AR15, however the longer 20 inch barrel would make the gun more front-heavy than the shorter 16 inch models. The longer handguard and barrel length add to the weight that provides more control under full-auto fire.

The M16A4 measures over 38 inches long and weighs just over 7 pounds unloaded and without accessories. This rifle is easy to carry over long distances, however its protruding features can allow it to get caught on dense vegetation and other obstacles, and its length hinders its use in close-quarter environments.

The Colt M16A4 is a well-built service rifle that is manufactured to all Mil-Spec standards. There’s a very slight gap between the upper and lower receivers that can cause some minor wobble, however it is compatible with AR15 parts and can be upgraded to fit the user’s preferences.
