See DealThe Rhino revolver design features a lower bore axis compared to other revolvers. This means the barrel is directly in line with the shooters hand, wrist and arm. This results in almost no muzzle rise and, because energy is better absorbed and controlled by the entire arm, it reduces the amount of recoil felt by the shooter. In addition, the alignment also gives the shooter a more natural point of aim. Shoot it and feel the difference!

Chiappa Firearms Rhino 200Ds Capacity
The Rhino is chambered in .357 Magnum and has a 6-round cylinder. Due to the nature of revolvers and rimmed cartridges, this gun can also shoot .38 Special cartridges with no issues and can also fire 9mm Parabellum (9mm Luger, 9x19mmNATO) cartridges with the aid of moon clips.
Chiappa Firearms Rhino 200Ds Feature
The Chiappa Firearms Rhino 200DS is a rather innovative revolver in that it fires the bottom cylinder instead of the standard firing from the top. The 200DS has a 2 inch barrel (the 40DS has a 4”, the 60DS has a 6” and so on…) and fires from a double-action trigger pull. Unlike the 40DS and 60DS, this revolver cannot be set to fire single-action as it was designed as a close-up defensive firearm and not a target gun.
Chiappa Firearms Rhino 200Ds Ergonomics
The Rhino has a rather familiar K-frame feel to it and has typical controls for a double-action revolver, but where ergonomics really differ is in the recoil impulse. If you look at the image, you’ll see that the barrel axis lines up with where the web between your thumb and trigger finger rest. This sends the recoil impulse into your hand without introducing much muzzle flip, but the felt recoil is stronger because of this.
Chiappa Firearms Rhino 200Ds Concealability
With a 2 inch barrel, the Rhino is definitely concealable, but the geometry of the grip will require the employment of loose clothing to prevent the gun from printing through your shirt. The outside contours of the frame and the grip help prevent the gun from getting snagged on clothing and other objects making this a decent defensive gun that is reasonably controllable.
Chiappa Firearms Rhino 200Ds Fit-N-Finish
There is a lot of arguments over the fit and finish of the Rhino series of revolvers. Allegedly, some small internal parts can be fragile or wear out quickly rendering the gun a paperweight, but no scientific studies have been done to confirm or deny this. With that said, the Rhino has one of the best double-action trigger pulls of any sub-$2000 revolver on the market.
